ATTENTION – SAM RADIO PRESENTER EVICTION

Our radio presenter Sarah Lomax of The Sarah Lomax Show is currently facing eviction, along with 47 families in Dreghorn whose homes are being sold.

In the lead up to Christmas of 2024, private tenants of military-owned Dreghorn Estate received a letter from Phil Riley, DIO Director of Accommodation informing them that they would be selling off housing that was ‘surplus’ to their requirements.

In other words, their homes.

They are being evicted and are facing homelessness after being assured that these houses would be long term secure accommodation for them and their families.

The impact that this news has had on residents is undeniable and profound. It impacts everything from their livelihoods and economic stability to their mental and physical health and wellbeing.

Dreghorn residents say –

“These are our homes. Our lives are built here. Our children have grown up in these houses and we have created a community and security within it. Please join in our fight to save our homes and stop these heartless and self-serving evictions.”
